Enormous Tiny Art Show — Nahcotta, Portsmouth, New Hampshire | April, 2026

Emily Furr's series of cake and cupcake oil paintings are a part of Nahcotta’s Enormous Tiny Art Show in Portsmouth, NH! This show is an annual exhibition of works all 10” x 10” and under.
I had so much fun with these y’all! The colors, the icing, and the structure of each cake all feel playful and a little over-the-top in the best way. I love building up the grooves of frosting and pushing the light and shadow. Painting the cherries on the cakes was probably my favorite part. I may not be a great baker but I love to paint some cakes! These are small, original oil paintings that are easy to live with and fun to collect.
