Hi! I am two years deep into my MFA program at UNCG and am scheduled to graduate in May. This past week I presented my work virtually to a committee of four of my professors. I did a ten minute talk about my body of thesis work, Baby of Mine, then they proceeded to question me. This is called the Thesis Defense. It is pretty stressful to be grilled by your professors but one thing I kept telling myself was that I know my art better than anyone. It seems obvious but was my little stick to it phrase (along with a sticky that said breathe taped to my computer haha). After two and a half hours of intense questioning my committee convened, deciding my fate. AND I PASSED! WOOHOO! I turned in my 26 page thesis paper on Friday and had my last virtual class on Thursday! It is a wild time over here. I did want to share my documentation that I presented to the committee of my thesis exhibition Baby of Mine.
